An international tea-house housed in a new and used book store provides comfortable couches. Test drive one on a cold winter day as you curl with a hot tea and a good book.

Culture and learning are also part of the Hidden Treasures. Be it authors reading Travel Stories at Pangaea Tea in the Athens Book Center, or a speaker or performer on Indonesian culture and environment at Bali Karma there is a world of learning and fun to be had.

In this day of chain stores and multi-national companies it is refreshing to surround yourself with "mom and pop" small scale businesses. Local products from Succulent Sundays and Court St. Collection and Themes support our local economy and products bought by Bali Karma directly from artists in Indonesia help us support those in great need. And remember Athens Book Center when you realize that "the right book in the right hands at the right time can change the world".

With the easiest street parking in Uptown Athens and free parking during the holidays it is a great way to "get away from it all" and experience the hospitality, originality, and social consciousness that Athens is known for.

November 5, 12-4 PM is the next Uptown Art Market.

Local music showcase will be hosted by Michael Tobar. Medieval sword fighting will be demonstrated, and horse-cart rides will be available, benfitting Last Chance Corral.

December 3 there will be a special Holiday Showcase event. Stay tuned and put it on your calendar....

The Market occurs on State St. just off of Court St. in Uptown Athens.
